i got nuthin

I don't really have much to say, but I love reading new posts on everyone else's blog so I felt I needed to add one of my own. Things are going pretty well here. I still don't feel that great and cannot understand how I can be sick to my stomach yet be starving. I keep thinking I will feel better soon, but if Brian's memory is correct, I will feel better in June. The kids are doing good. Buddy is about halfway thru his basketball season. I don't think we can plan on him going pro, but he is having fun and improving every game. He got a couple of rebounds the last game. Last week was the second time all year that he went a week with out a tally(the schools system of telling parents when there children misbehaved). The pressure must have been too much though, because he pulled tally yesterday. Lizzie is also doing well. She had her Christmas dance class last week. The parents got to sit in the studio and watch the class. Brian and I forgot out camera of course. She has a special school thing for the parents tomorrow. Tomorrow night she will be an angel for the Faith Formation pagaent. After tomorrow, we will be done with evening activities until Jan 3rd, which will be nice. Brian and I are holding a New Years's party this year. We held a Christmas party last year, but this year we seem to behind in everything(cards are going out by tom.). We are going to have a Yankee Swap, which worked out really well last year. I haven't even thought about what to buy for it. We can decide after Christmas. The dogs are all well, knock on wood. I forgot to mention in my previous post that Chewy dug up a mole. I look in the back yard and notice Chewy is pawing and sniffing at something. At first I thought it was a ball. I went down to investigate and noticed about five different holes in the yard, then I see a mole trying to hide in the leaves. I get the dogs put away and and go back down and the mole is gone. If you would like this story to end happily skip to the next paragraph. Later the night, I notice Chewy hanging out in a different part of the yard. He comes when called though, and I do not thing anything of it. The next day I notice him sniffing something in the leaves. I go down and it is a dead mole. It did not look like Chewy had it in his mouth. I think it might have froze to death. Hopefully Chewy does not keep this up for the rest of the winter. I have not been walking him as much, so I think he is getting bored. He used to chase the squirrels away from the birdfeeders., now he is chasing the birds away as well.

Yesterday I went to the post office. I expected it to be a long wait, seeing how it was 7 days from Christmas. There were 3 people waiting in front of me and one person being waited on. The person being waited on had a lot of packages. The lady in front of me was getting so mad. She tried to complain quietly to the person in front of her. Well the person in front of here was hearing impaired, so the lady had to complain a lot louder than she planned. It was pretty funny. If you are going to post office, this week, expect lines. By the time I left there was about 15 people in line, and this post office is small, and only has one person working.

Well that is about all that is coming to my head to talk about right now. I am sure that once I leave the computer I will think of all sorts of things to talk about it.

(I just figured out how to change fonts and colors and stuff, so expect more colorful posts in the future.)

Ice Ice Baby

I can finally drink cold drinks again. I can brush my teeth without waiting for the water to get warm. I had my root canal done last week. I had to wait until I was in my 2nd trimester. The weekend before I had it done, I had some severe tooth pain, so I was happy to get it done. I could not get regular novacaine, so they gave me stuff that only lasts about 30minutes. Luckily the dentist finished up as it was wearing off. WHile he was working on me, one of my eyes started watering really bad(I think it was from the novacaine like stuff because I could feel the numbness in one side of my nose and up to my eye). The hygenist was all concerned I was in pain, which I wasn't. It was really hard to explain that is was nothing, when I had all this stuff in my mouth. I still need to get a crown, but I am putting that off a little bit. NOw I can drink whatever I want, if my stomach agrees with it. Brian and I remember my pregnancies different. I remember being a little sick, getting some leg cramps and a little back pain. Brian remembers me eating nothing but noodles with tomato sauce with Buddy(I now remember that) and basically just remembers them more realisticalyy than I do. He thinks we are going to have a boy, because I like nothing to eat, like I did with Buddy. I couldn't even eat Hamburger with Buddy. I have even turned down icecream with this pregnacy( I only turned it down once, so do not get too alarmed). Last week I took Lizzie to see Disney on ICe with a nieghbor and her girl. The tickets were really cheap($30 total for 2 and we had good seats). Lizzie had a lot of fun. THey sold just about everything there. Lucklily my friend did not purchase anything except a $10 bag of cotten candy(it came with a crown) which the girls shared. We could have easily spent $100 on souveniers and food. THis weekend was Brian's company CHristmas Party. It was good. A lot of people I didn't know, but the food was really good. We went to a cookie exchange on Sunday. I came home with 8dozen cookies. Brian will be taking a bunch into work. We got our tree up yesterday. We picked it out on Saturday, but had a busy weekend, so we got it up yesterday and will decorate it tonight. It drank a lot of water, so hopefully it stays healthy thru the New Year. We are planning on haveing a party on the 30th or New Years. we are still debating on what night( or I should say, I am still deciding). Well that is about all. I am still working on posting more.

Go to the Dentist

So it has been a month since my last real post, I guess I should update. For Thanksgiving we went to MA. The trip up was the longest trip ever. Buddy had basketball Tuesday night. So Brian and Buddy got home around 8. Brian still had to load the four wheeler and rearrange the packing I did in the van. He had to add a big toolbox and I did not leave room for it. I am a terrible packer. Did I mention there was freezing rain and wind gust up to 25mph. Not good driving weather, especially when driving with a trailer. So Brian drove the first 3 hours, then we switched. Luckily the wind and rain died down shortly after my turn started. So I am doing fairly well driving and not getting tired. I am hoping to make it well into NJ, so Brian can take over and we can drive thru NY, by taking the GW bridge. Well Deleware did not agree with my plan. They decided to do roadwork right after the tolls. They closed all but two of there lanes. So Maryland is superslow, stop and go traffic. We get thru the Deleware toll and traffic comes to a stop. I literally had the car in park for 45 minutes. They were not letting any cars thru for a little bit. They went form All the toll lanes to 2 lanes. I ended up driving for 6hours and did not make much progress. We ended up haveing to take the long way home, by taking the Tappenzee bridge. This is a longer route and normally adds about an hour onto the trip. Then both kids get sick. Buddy got sick before breakfast and gave us warning, so he had a bag, just in case. Lizzie gave us no warning after breakfast. She got pancakes and syrup everywhere. I took lizzie into change, and Brian got the job of cleaning up the van. So the rest of the ride smelled like pancakes. Which would have been fine, except we know where it came from and therefore it almost made us sick. ONce we got there we had a great visit. Brian got to ride his four wheeler with a friend of his. We went to the Pats game on Sunday. It was my fist NFL game and was a lot of fun. We tailgated with my siblings, there friends and Brian;s brother in law, and My sisters husband and father in-law.(They were the Bears fans)

Brian found a new sport while tailgating, Flip Cup

We ended up leaving MOnday morning at about 2:30am so we wouldn't have to drive too much during the day. The trip home was uneventful. My brothers are due to arrive today for a visit. They got cheap tickets and have not seen our new house yet. Things have been going well here. OUr big news is that I am 12 weeks pregnant. I had an ultrasound last week and things are going well. I don't feel good most of the time and I am supertired which is one of the reasons I have not posted in a while( laziness being the other reason). I have also had some major tooth pain. I had a cavity I was suppossed to have filled over the summer. I had to cancel the appt. and never rescheduled. Well I found out last month that I need a root canal. I had to wait until my 2nd trimester to get it done. SO next week, It will be done. It really stinks to have tooth pain, and only be able to take Tylenol. I had my regular check up this week. THe hygenist couldn't stop taliking about how clean my teeth are. She could tell I brushed and flossed. Yet I still get cavities. So go to the dentist, and do not put off cavities.
