A quickie

So, I have actually been doing stuff even though I have not been blogging about it. The short of it is, I got locked out, went to OH, and spent time with friends. I am on my way to MA and will hopefully post next week.

A long Halloween

Haloween night and school costume

Like many of you, we had a busy weekend. Friday Buddy had his class party. On Saturday morning we had Buddy's last football game. Then, Lizzie had a Halloween party to attend. She was an Arabian princess( I got it for $5). I was glad we attended. Someone from her school was co-hosting it with a neighbor. The neighbor had a ton of kids come, and their was only Lizzie and another girl from the school who showed for her. I have found that people in this area do not attend parties for classmates, they also do not RSVP. After that, Brian had to go back for help ref for football games, were he learned the extent some coaches/parents will go, to get there 6yr old kids to win a game($for pulling flags for one). Then we went to a birthday party for someone on Buddy's class. It was held at an ice rink and we had a lot of fun. The whole class was invited, and Buddy was the only one to show up. Luckily he had a bunch of other friends there. The kids did really well ice skating. Buddy was in a rush, so he fell a bunch. It was wasing going so fast he would have stayed up the whole time. Lizzie did good. Brian or I would hold her hand. Brian and I decided if we are going to do this more often we are going to invest in some skates. The rentals were so uncomfortable. Sunday, Brian took Buddy riding, and I went shopping with Lizzie. THen the kids had a neighborhood birthday party. My parents came in late Sunday night. Monday the Buddy had off from school. Lizzie had her class party( she was a princess). Buddy went to the park with a neighbor and was gone for most of the day. Tuesday, Buddy had a class field trip. For Halloween, Buddy went as a shower, and lizzie went as a robot. Very inexpensive to make, but not the pracitical for my kids to walk around in. We started around 5:30(after several other kids came) and were done by 6:30. There bags were full and they wanted to go in for the night. We offered to empty out there bags and keep going but they said no. My children are not normal. On Wednesday, the kids had church. All Saint's day is a holy day of obligation, so instead of class they had all the kids sit with there class for mass. They wanted the kids to dress up as there favorite patron Saint. I put a police shirt on Lizzie and had her be St. Michael, and I put a big Brown sweater on Buddy had him bring stuffed animals and had him be St. Francis. My parents left for home the same time we left for church. My mom said that while they were gone, my brother stopped by the house with some friends. They were running late for a game( my brother is a football coach for Minuteman Tech)so Bmy brother got in his car and left. His friends grabbed some of his clothes and were bringing them out to the car, when a cruiser showed up. Apparently one of my parents neighbors called the cops because they thought someone was breaking in. Luckily the cop was someone my brother's friends knew, and they were able to get on there way. I guess my parents don't have to worry about being out of town, the neighbors are watching out for them.
