Outback

So, I am not really craving too many things, but I do dislike many foods that I would normally like. Last weekend me and the family went to Outback for dinner(we had a gift card). I enjoy Outback, but the food is a little pricey. We went around 5pm. It was not too crowded and we had no wait. When we left, it was crowded, the lobby was full 0f people waiting, and that was around 6ish. I do not understand why people will wait and hour or more for Outback, especially when there tons of resteraunts in the area. Anyway, I felt like having ribs. Ribs are not something I normally order, I don't think I have ever ordered them. I enjoy them when someone else makes them, but I just tend not to eat them to often. So my ribs come and they did not hit the spot. I managed to eat 2, and then I was done. Then last night, we had Chinese and I got spareribs from there, did not like them. So I am giving up on ribs for the time being. On Saturday night, we got a babysitter and went out with friends to eat dinner and see Ron White. We went to a Italian place to eat which was really good. I am not eating as much as normally do( very weird, since when you are pregnant people tend to eat more). The show was good. Friend got us the tickets as a Christmas present. The crowd was crappy, but he is not a comedian that caters to the high class crowd. Brian and I do not listen to him much, so all the material was new to us, which was great. I don't want to talk about Sunday. During the day we went to a birthday party for neighber. The kids had a great time. Then we came home and watched football. Can I just say, how hard is it to catch a football that is thrown directly to you, you are looking at it, and were expecting it to be thrown at you? The silver lining is that now I do not need to watch the football part of the Superbowl, so while they are playing football, I can take my bathroom, food and drink breaks, and catch the commercials. We are going to a friends house for Superbowl weekend. Every year we have a mini Navy reunion for Superbowl. Brian's(and mine) friends from the navy are spread out across the country, although most are on the East of the Mississipi. Each year we get together at someones house, and whoever can make it does. We normally try to get together at least twice a year. This year we are bringing the kids.
Yesterday, I discovered that shopping when pregnant, is like shopping when you are hungry. I was not hungry at all. I went in for milk. I decided to get more Raisen Bran, since that is what I normally eat for breakfast. I came out of the cereal aisle, with the biggest box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch( they now make a big box of it), and Lucky Charms(I did get Raisen Bran). I contemplated getting Fruity Pebbles, but I used will power. I also got frozen corn on the cob. I am not craving it, but it is one of the few foods I actually enjoy eating.

SNOW!!!

After much complaining about how warm this winter is, we finally got some snow. Saturday and Sunday were in the 60's and 70's and this morning it was in the 20's. Due to the fact that there is no news in Raleigh, this is a big deal. The weather people predicted a wintry mix, and it would not stick to the roads/ground. At 6:15 this morning, they were saying the roads were fine, and it was not sticking. Well, by 6:30 they started to change their tune, and were reporting that the roads were bad, and people should not drive on them unless they have to. There were 80 accidents reported between 6:30 and 7am. Brian left for work around 6:15 and he didn't have a problem. My neighbor didn't go into work today, so I am not watching their girls today. I took the kids outside this morning to play in the inch of snow we had outside. Lizzie sort of made a snow angel. The dogs love the snow, and this was the first time Chewy has experienced snow. We are on the wake/johnston county border(they do things by county here). So Wake County cancelled school, but Johnston still had school(we live in Johnton). So I took the kids out on the four wheeler just after 8am. It had started to rain by then, and the roads were fine. Buddy got to school about 5 minutes late, but they were still letting kids be dropped off at carpool without being late. Buddy was dissapointed because the girls I watch were over for about 15 minutes before their dad said he was staying home. He said that the 1st grader would probably stay home today. Buddy didn't want to have to go to school unless she did. Tough to explain to him that he had to go. We have a chance for snow on Sunday, so I am hoping it will be more significant than this snow fall, but I will take what I can get.

Wings

So I tried to post something the other day when I actually had something to say, and blogger was doing maintence or something. Now, I don't really have much to say, but feel the need to post. Things have been going well here. We had a good Christmas. Buddy was sick over Christmas with a fever and cold. It took him almost a week to get over it, and by then he was almost back to school. We threw a New Year's party this year. It was a lot of fun. I have been missing out on a lot of drinking opportunities this year. So far I have gone a trip to Wisconsin, with the whole purpose being alcohol related, Pats game were drinking and playing flip cup was the whole purpose of tailgating, and now our New years parties, were some of the festivities were, flip cup, Beirut(played with ping pong balls and quarters). I am sure that when I am able to drink again, things will be back to normal and it will just be regular parties. Anyway, so I stayed up until 3:30 in the morning and had a tough New years day recovering from lack of sleep. I have been busy pet sitting for people since before Christmas. I started off watching my neighbor's cat. That overlapped with watching my other neighbors 4 dogs and one fish. I have watched her pets many times before, but this time it was a little more nervewracking. It started off with her telling me she doesn't thing her 7yr old Beta fish is going to live much longer. While I was watching it, I never saw it eat. It tried to, but missed the food. She thinks it can't see that well anymore. Three of the dogs were on medicine. One is bigger than the others so he got a higher dose. Well, the second morning, the bigger dog spit out his medicine and the smallest dog ate it. I called the vet, and she told me to just keep and eye on her and not give her Medicine tom. The two of the dogs got in a fight. I had to pull one off of the other. The dog on bottom, Buddy, couldn't walk and would not bend one of his legs. So I carry him and put him in his kennel. After about 10 minutes he walked with a limp, and was back to walking normal when his owners came home. He also decided he did not want to eat for a few days. He normally doesn't eat as much when they are gone, but they were gone for a whole week this time. For a couple of days he only ate dog treats that I left in his kennel and he would eat them after I left. By the end, he was eating his food by going in his kennel and I would hand feed him. So the owners returned New Years' day, and the next day a friend of ours brought his dog over for us to watch for a week. She is a really good dog, but she has a lot of energy and barks a lot. When she was outside she would often bark at nothing. So she went home on Tuesday night, and now I am back to only taking care of my own pets. Due to my pregnancy, I cannot change the litter box. Many people would be like "woo hoo". Brian hates cats, and hates the litter box. He complains so much about emptying it that I wish I could empty it, and if it would not endanger the baby, I would empty it. It will be nice to have the baby and not listen to Brian complain about the litter box. He has been very good about the state of the house, which has been in decline lately. I am 18weeks pregnant and will have an ultrasound in 2 weeks. We are not going to find out the sex, which just amazes most people. That is all for now. I do not know when I will post next so Happy Birthday Heather!!!!
GO PATS!!!!

Oh, Yeah, I have been craving wings lately.
